How to Install WhatsApp

We have talked about downloading WhatsApp and we went as far as to tell you where you can download the app for different platforms and softwares.

Today I’m back to talk about the process that you go through after downloading WhatsApp, which is installing the app.

To the tech savvy, installing WhatsApp is a straightforward process, one they don’t need a guiding hand. However, some people need to be taken through the whole process so that they can get started.

How to install WhatsApp on a phone

>Download and WhatsApp for your device.

>After installation, you should agree to WhatsApp’s Terms and Conditions. Don’t forget to agree to permit WhatsApp to access contacts and send you notifications.

>You will now see a new tab where you should enter your number and ask WhatsApp to send a verification code. You can either choose to get a verification code by SMS or through calling. So you need to make sure you number can receive SMSs if you choose the SMS option.

>Enter the code when you receive it and then WhatsApp will start to load.

>After loading, you will be asked if you want to restore a backup of your chats. If you want to restore a backup, tap “Confirm” and if not, tap “Not now”.

>Enter your name and put a profile picture. You can always change both of these later on.

>Finally, you get into WhatsApp where you can chat with your loved ones. Don’t freak out if you don’t see friends yet, tap the three dots on the top right side of the screen and tap “Refresh” to see your contacts that are available on WhatsApp.

How to install WhatsApp for desktop/laptop

>Download WhatsApp from Microsoft store or Apple App store.

>Open the .exe file and follow the procedure similar to the one mentioned when installing WhatsApp on a smartphone.
